Isak Anderssen is a classicaly trained musician, working full time as a conductor, composer, musician and cello instructor.
But behind the Upper Rooms name, it's all about electronica, with inspiration drawn from a/o the German electro scene, eighties synth pop, and new experimental electronica.
His debut album Video Bambino (2000) was a product of all of his inspirations. But the new album is focused more on electro, and is a result of Upper Rooms' love of European 80's music. Isak Anderssen's characteristic production with catchy electro, disco and synth pop, points as much to the future as to the past.
